MISSION

Maryland GOP Hispanic Coalition

PURPOSE
The Maryland GOP Hispanic Coalition was instituted in order to recruit and to grow a body of concerned and like-minded Hispanic and non-Hispanic citizens, who believe that by joining forces we can make a strong impact on local, county and state elections. Hispanics need a real voice in the political process and it is our purpose to provide that platform in which all legal residents under the jurisdiction of the State of Maryland can be heard. We welcome this opportunity to work together in order to affect change for the greater good of all citizens in the state of Maryland.

MISSION
Our mission is to reach out to the various sectors of our community and to engage and invite members of the Hispanic population to come and share their views with us. Their voices need to be heard so that together we will come to understand our shared problems and resolve to work on the resolution of those problems. We also need to share what we have in common as the people of this state, so that we can agree on what it is that holds us together so that we may live in accordance with our common goals.

VALUES
The Hispanic population values their culture and traditions which include a strong sense of family, deep religious beliefs, and faith in our fellow man. Hispanics have a strong work ethic and believe in self -reliance, in caring for the family, in educating their youth, and in teaching them strong values and principles within the framework of the home and family. These are conservative values and principles which are embraced by the Hispanic people and are not unlike that of the Republican platform. Our message is the same, and because it is a good message, it is what will make our people strong and resilient against any offense to our way of life, our liberties, and the pursuit of happiness.

GOALS
Every individual aspires to attain their own particular goals in life, but when our goals are thwarted by an outside force, we are then forced to put aside our goals temporarily, and attend to the greater needs of society. We are living in such a time, as many of us have never seen before. Every facet of our daily lives has been affected by problems resulting from a poor economy and poor economic policies. We must now attend to these problems and with the help of all Hispanics and non-Hispanics, we will identify and face our problems in order to solve them. Let us continue to boldly embrace the ideals which we hold dear and which unite us, so that together we can work to promote elected officials who will listen to the will of the people and who will work to legislate the laws which reflect the values and principles that “We the People” hold dear and wish to live by.
